FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where possible, I recommend arriving at your trial as you expect to look on your wedding day. If you're planning a spray tan, brow treatment or other beauty treatment for your wedding, having the same treatment ahead of your trial can help us create the most accurate representation of your finished look. Please bear in mind that some skin, facial and brow treatments require downtime before makeup can safely or comfortably be applied. Please check the recommended downtime with your treatment provider and allow sufficient time between any treatments and your makeup appointment. Please arrive with a clean, makeup free face and, if possible, wear a top in a similar colour and neckline to your wedding dress. You're also very welcome to bring any makeup inspiration you've collected. There is no need to purchase any special skincare or products beforehand. We will discuss your skin, preferences and preparation for the wedding day as part of your trial.
Your bridal trial is a relaxed, in depth appointment designed to create and refine your wedding day makeup. We’ll discuss your wedding, dress, personal style, usual makeup preferences and how you would like to feel on the day. From there, I’ll create a look tailored to your features, skin and overall bridal style. There is plenty of time to make adjustments and explore the finer details together. Your final look and products used will be recorded so that everything can be recreated consistently on your wedding morning.I recommend allowing approximately 2.5 to 3 hours for your trial.
Your bridal makeup should feel like you, just beautifully considered. We’ll talk through your usual makeup style, the elements you love and anything you would prefer to avoid, alongside your dress, wedding style and overall vision for the day. You’re very welcome to bring inspiration images, although these are always used as a starting point rather than something to copy exactly.Together, we’ll create a look that complements your individual features, photographs beautifully and, most importantly, still feels like you.
A calm wedding morning starts with good planning. Ahead of your wedding, I’ll work with you to create a makeup schedule based on your ceremony time, bridal party and any other suppliers involved.I’m very happy to coordinate timings with your hairstylist to ensure hair and makeup work seamlessly alongside one another, with enough time built in for final touches before you get dressed. The aim is simple: everyone ready on time, without your wedding morning ever feeling rushed.
I allow up to two hours for the bride, giving us plenty of time for skin preparation, makeup application, individual lashes where desired, and those all important final refinements.Bridal party timings are planned separately as part of your wedding morning schedule, with everything carefully coordinated to ensure you are ready comfortably ahead of the ceremony.Your wedding morning should never feel rushed, and I deliberately allow generous time for your bridal appointment so that the experience feels just as considered as the finished makeup.
